Geforce 250 gts

Once again the the 8800gt is renamed, the Geforce 250 gts is the 8800gts 512 with a 55nm core. And we all know the 8800gts is 8800gt with 128 sp's instead of 112 sp's. but this does mean that the old card is not able to put up a fight. It can still keep up with Ati's hardware in but price and power more or less.

Geocaching garmin iQue m5 cacheing apps

This Gps is discontinued but I got mine for $80.00 off craigslist and it came with mount with a speaker on the mount, a leather flip cover, 2gig sd and more. I had to put the maps on it myself found them on the net somewhere after about 30 days of searching. It did not come with an usb cable so I had to buy one for $11.94 plus shipping off of www.smavtronics.com I have never used them before but it went smoothly. Before the cable came I was using the blue tooth sync function which is kind of hard to use some times. You can take the sd card out and up load maps to it but you cannot put geocaches on it through the sd card you have to be synced if you want the caches on the garmin map app and you have to put the caches on by placeing the gpx or loc file on to mapsource(you cannot up load maps to the gps from the geocaching web site directly you have to download caches first). The ique m5 uses windows mobile 6 so there are a ton of apps for the gps/pda, for geocaching I use about 3-4 apps gpx sonar, beeline gps, the garmin map. First off I just use the garmin maps to get driving directions then beeline as I start to get closer to the cache then I use gpx sonar for the information(beeline does the info also but acts funny at times). Switching between programs is kind of not fun at times especially when you’re doing an extreme cache. In all I have found plenty of caches this way but I have also dropped my stylist many times and the gps and its taking its toll on it not built for this kind of work. Also the screen is hard to see in sunlight but not completely you can still see.

In this review I am listing the cons more then the positives. Cons help more than positives in a review I think.

Talk to me at http://8800gtnvidia.blogspot.com/ for more info on maps or anything else.

Just comment on any of my post about anything

Xbox 360 GPU Hits 65nm With "Jasper"

Since the Xbox 360 launched in November 2005, it has been plagued by an unusually high hardware failure rate. This has been contributed to the GPU chip warping away from the motherboard and causing the now infamous Red Ring of Death (RRoD). Speculations to the actual failure rates have been anywhere between 16 percent to 33 percent; however, the official statements from Microsoft has been that repairs are at "a higher rate than we are satisfied with." In July of 2007, Peter Moore, then the Corporate VP for Microsoft’s Xbox division confirmed the extension of the Xbox 360’s manufacturer’s warranty for the Red Ring errors to three years.

Since its launch, the Xbox 360 has had four different motherboard revisions. While some motherboard revisions were limited to larger heatsinks, the addition of an HDMI port, or the shrink in CPU die size, this latest Jasper revision marks the first shrink in die size for the ATI GPU. The GPU size has been decreased from 90nm to 65nm while an additional 256 MB of on-board flash memory has also been integrated. According to Microsoft, 128 MB is needed for the installation of the New Xbox Experience, which means the integrated flash memory will be able to handle its installation natively without the need for additional storage peripherals. The power supply has also been reduced in power consumption from a previous 175W to a new 150W model and as a safety precaution, the new power supply is equipped with a different connector than the 175W model; backwards compatibility is not supported.

Only time will tell if the decreased GPU size will solve the heat problems that have plagued the system since launch. If you are interested in hunting for a new "Jasper" model, comments on Xbox-Scene points to a Lot number of 843X with a manufacturing date of 10-23-2008. The easiest way to identify the new motherboard is by the wattage identification on the power supply unit which should clearly state the new 150W specification.

LGA775 Processor & 4 Series Motherboard About To Lead in 2009

If you presume Core 2 Series are about to retire with the launch of Core i7 processor, then you’re far from right. Intel predicts Nehalem’s shipment will take up only 10 percent till Q3 2009, and then Nehalem family will be added a new member - Lynnfield processor which targets at mainstream & high-performance market. The pricing of Core i7 shall descend as well.

8800gt has had a long life an it ain't done it keep on fight 8800gt

The 8800gt has been named 9800gt and will soon be renamed again. In the 100 series "NVIDIA GeForce G 105M" and it will probably get reconfiguring it with 55nm shrunk from 65nm core. How long can the old Nvidia card last?
It looks real good here
